Our mission is to elevate the voices of climbers of color and build a community full of camaraderie and support. We are currently based in Tucson, Arizona, but our expansive People of Color (POC) climbing community extends well beyond this region. On April 25th, Climbing in Color (CIC) not only celebrates its 5th anniversary, but also from April 25 through May 25, 2024, CIC hosts our annual fundraiser, called Higher Ground 2024! With the help of our fundraiser, we continue to provide critical and sustained funds for events and programs for climbers of color. We hope that Tucson Sentinel will share to the public both the important work that CIC is doing for the community and news of our third annual fundraiser.
