The Captain’s Log Volume 39
Original Airdate: April 11, 2021
In this episode we visit with traveling musician turned political organizer, C.J. Boyd. C.J. talks about working on Tucson’s Fight For $15 ballot initiative, working and dating during the pandemic and music. As always, we string it together with spacey music and a dose of hope.
C.J. Boyd is the campaign manager of Tucson Fight for $15, a local political action committee currently collecting signatures to get a city-wide minimum wage of $15 on the ballot in November. He arrived in Tucson last year after spending a year in Texas working on the campaign of progressive state house candidate Lorenzo Sanchez. Before this recent shift to full-times grassroots politics, C.J. spent 12 years as a full-time musician living on permanent tour around North America and Europe.
