Why it matters: “At our core, Cox is an entertainment company with a long history of connecting our Southern Arizona communities,” said Lisa Lovallo, Southern Arizona Market Vice President, Cox Communications. “We are thrilled to expand Movies in the Park this summer beyond Tucson to include the communities of Sierra Vista and Benson. We invite area residents to join us for evenings of free outdoor cinema, laughter, and togetherness,” she added.
Diving Deeper: When the sun goes down, the 40-foot-tall screen goes up. Get pumped for food trucks, live demonstrations, free giveaways, and other engaging activities that add to the festive atmosphere. From heartwarming dramas to thrilling adventures, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Folks are encouraged to make themselves comfortable by bringing blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets – just no fires or grilling!
Cox Movies in the Park has greatly evolved from projecting films on an improvised bed sheet screen in 2003 to becoming an integral part of Southern Arizona’s summer fun. For more information visit www.coxmoviesinthepark.com.
