Hello! My name is Eva Amouzougan. I am a fourth-year graduate student in Dr. Walter Klimecki’s lab in the department of Pharmacology & Toxicology at the University of Arizona. I am currently working on a project that involves investigating the molecular mechanisms of influenza virus infection in lung epithelial cells. I graduated from Boise State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Pre-Medical Studies, and a minor in Chemistry. I also earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in French. As a PhD candidate, I spend a lot of time in the lab. However, I enjoy doing activities outside of the lab such as running, lifting weights, and reading good books when possible. The last book I read was “A Crack in Creation” by Jennifer A. Doudna and Samual H. Sternberg.
