Thesis Thursday is a program on KXCI which runs every Thursday. We invite our friends from The University of Arizona to come down to the station and chat a little bit. We discuss what they are working on in school, their plans for the future. We even talk a little bit about music. Today’s guest is Dominique Lund.
Here is what Dominique says:
I am a sophomore at the University of Arizona aiming to major in physiology with a minor in psychology. I am from Portland, Oregon, and when I’m home I love to ski, paddle board, and play with my dogs. For a year, I’ve been working in Dr Anna Dornhaus’ lab where I study rock ants, and I am particularly interested in their decision making and division of labor. I have always been fascinated by ants, and in the past year I have been able to take this interest a step further by learning to do scientific research. In the future, I hope to become a physician’s assistant or to research in the pharmaceutical industry.
Thesis Thursday is produced by Bridgitte Thum at KXCI studios in Tucson Arizona.
