🛸Angel Rojas, a 21 year old student at the Arizona State School for the Deaf and the Blind, shares why “Longer Boats” by Yusuf / Cat Stevens hold a special place in his heart. From Puerto Vallarta to Tucson, Angel’s story reminds us of music’s power to connect, inspire, and endure. Sing along if you wanna sing out!

0:14: I’m 21 years old and I had a birthday on Monday, September 9th.
0:18: I was born in Puerto Vallarta in the year of 2003.
0:22: I’m visually impaired and hard of hearing in one ear.
0:26: I go to the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind.
0:30: My favorite song is Longer Boats by Cat Stevens.
0:32: In 2016, Mister Vickers played it for me on his guitar.
0:44: I loved it right away because there’s a studio version and a live version and the studio version, the voices start right at the beginning.
0:58: And the live version, there’s a guitar intro.
1:10: It’s called Longer boats, and it’s about spaceships.
1:21: I like both versions.
1:23: I sing along and I can also play on piano.
