IMG_2239 Lycium species are found around the world (look up goji berry). Lycium pallidum is the most widespread species in the southwest, found throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Sonora, Chihuaua and southward.  Wolfberry are in the nightshade family, Solanaceae, and I suspect any local native species of Wolfberry would be nice to have near a garden full of tomatoes, chiles, bell peppers and eggplants as they share many of the same pollinators. How cool is that? Very cool.
