I am a Senior in Molecular and Cellular Biology this year. I am currently applying to medical school, and plan to pursue a career as a physician-scientist and educator. I

will dedicate my career to increasing access to high-quality care, particularly among underserved groups. I also plan to research and implement disease prevention strategies. I currently work in Vedantam Lab where I study the infectious disease Clostridium difficile Infection (CDI)CDI causes thousands of deaths each year and billions in healthcare costs. C. difficile is one of America’s most significant public health threats and I find it deeply exciting to do work that has the potential to directly help patients. I spend Saturdays playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, I am passionate about tea, art, and meditation, and I love animals of all sorts.
