Join us at BorderLinks on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 5-7 PM to learn more about the mural that now adorns the south-facing wall in the Borderlinks parking lot.

Designed by local artists and realized through community donations and labor, this mural represents the connectedness of struggles for liberation in Palestine and the borderlands.
Postcard prints of the mural will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going directly to families in Gaza and Humans To Be, a grassroots initiative founded by Laila Ezzat Al Shana, a young woman and mother living in Gaza who creates joyful moments for children with education, play, and essentials. BorderLinks will also be selling pupusas, made by BorderLinks’ very own, very talented Wendy! Pupusas will be available for purchase at the event, but placing your order in advance helps us to make sure that we have enough to feed everybody! Please use the form at the bottom of this webpage to pre-order. Proceeds from pupusa sales will support BorderLinks.
This event is free and open to the public.

The event starts at 5pm. Around 5:30pm, there will be a 30-minute speaking portion to hear from the artists who designed and organized this community mural. There will also be a discussion led by BorderLinks Co-Director, Ren Manning. The rest of the time will be for connecting, eating, and mural viewing.
