The record features stories and songs of Sonoran influence with the primary character ‘Saint Corazón’ who spreads goodwill wherever he goes with his deeds, songs, and presence. Locally loved favorites regularly performed by Jacob Acosta all over Arizona and included are, “Honest Everyday”, “Maria”, and “Too Many Words” about being honest and doing more dancing. Heartfelt ballads “San Pedro” and “Laredo” also appear, one an ode to the river/riparian area originating south of the border, and the other a love story of the American dream. Instrumentally cinematic and fiery songs “Twenty First Century”, “Person of Interest”, and “Night Rider” paint a western backdrop, with a live performed bull whip by Bob Hoag, Courtney Pinski’s renowned fiddle lead, Andre Gressieux’s masterful percussion design, and Barry Young’s versatile, psychedelic bass soundscape.
