On Tuesday, June 28, KXCI will commemorate the 53rd Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising with special programming from 7 am until 6 pm with DJs Shann Oliver, Miranda, Midtown Missy, and DJ El Toro. We’ll celebrate the achievements and goals of the modern LGBTQIA+ rights movement with music throughout the day from LGBTQIA+ artists and allies. Members of the community will speak about important LGBTQIA+ issues, experiences, and organizations. Listen live on 91.3 FM Tucson or stream at KXCI.ORG.
KXCI’s Hannah Levin was joined by Arizona’s Hip Historian, Marshall Shore to discuss what is Stonewall, how does it tie to LGBTQ+ history in Arizona, and why it matters today.
Hannah also had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Susan Stryker who has helped shape the cultural conversation around transgender topics for over three decades.
We also hear from members of our community of LGBTQ+ producers, and guest speakers:

Erin + TC
Jaime + Blue
