Hello, I’m Taylor Massey! I’m a Junior at the University of Arizona majoring in Physiology and Medical Sciences with a minor in Health and Human Values. I’ve been involved in research since the summer after my freshman year through a UBRP program called Environmental Health Science – Research for Indigenous Student Engagement (EHS-RISE). Since then I’ve been a member of Dr. Zelieann Craig’s lab researching how various environmental exposures, including wood smoke, endocrine-disrupting chemicals, and active herbicide ingredients, affect female reproductive health. My role in these projects is to quantify abnormal characteristics in ovary models and help run experiments. Throughout my time in research, I’ve improved on various techniques and skills, for example, data analysis and critical thinking. When I’m not in the lab, I enjoy reading, crocheting, and going to concerts!
