The mission of Native Seeds, a seed bank based in Southern Arizona, is to preserve crops that have been grown in the region for centuries, so that they are well adapted to the heat and use significantly less water than commercially grown crops. The produce from these seeds also contains much higher levels of nutrients and is more flavorful.
