We hear all the time from experts in the field of ecology and sustainability about environmental problems on the large scale.
But all too rarely do we hear how regular people like ourselves approach sustainability in their everyday lives, in their homes and in their businesses.
There are countless ways in which waste can be minimized on the small scale and we can learn a lot from each other’s tricks and insights.
To that end, the Weekly Green periodically interviews folks about their personal day-to-day sustainability practices under the title “Common Green”.
This week’s episode features Donna DiFiore, owner of Delectables Restaurant on 4th Avenue, one of Tucson’s oldest restaurants.
Growing up on a farm in Massachusetts, sustainability has been a Leitmotif throughout Donna’s life and now as ever she is contantly looking for ways to cut down on waste, to re-use and recycle at home and at her restaurant.
