Each fall semester, KXCI hosts an intern from the University of Arizona School of Journalism to produce episodes of Tucson Voices for broadcast and podcast. We are grateful to Arizona Media Association/Arizona Local News Foundation for their generous support in training the next generation of broadcasters. Students practice all elements of audio production from idea to interview to finished piece based on local topics of their choosing.
When interns are not in session Tucson Voices serves as a place for volunteers and guests to share longer-form community messages, and KXCI related information and inspiration. Recorded and produced by KXCI’s Production Manager Bridgitte Thum.
