Stella Tucker, a Tohono O’odham elder, has been harvesting saguaro fruit since she was a child. She now harvests every summer and runs workshops teaching others in a camp her grandmother ran for decades on land that is now Saguaro National Park. Listen to the story of the camp and Stella’s dedication to keeping the tradition alive.

Plus a promo for the November production of “A Whisper through the Spines” Act III of Standing with Saguaros, an immersive theater experience where human and animal characters lead audiences into the world of the saguaros. Nov. 11, 12, 13 in Saguaro National Park.
