In this episode of Nonprofit Spotlight, Stephanie talks with Punit Dhesi, Executive Director and founder of Serve Society. Serve Society is a nonprofit collective of barbers and hair stylists dedicated to providing no-cost mobile hair care services to individuals in need, including people experiencing homelessness, those in recovery, veterans, at-risk youth, and others seeking dignity and confidence through a simple haircut. Stephanie and Punit also discuss how the organization partners with local nonprofits to deliver these services, the meaningful impact of Serve Society through their work for both clients and providers, and the ways the organization hopes to grow its volunteer base and expand its reach in Tucson in the coming year.
