About The Demons of South Tucson
The Demons of South Tucson were established in 2012 and are named in the Southwestern/Conjunto/Tejano/Norteño style, like Los Tigres Del Norte and Los Cadetes de Linares, but in English. The band consists of Merejildo Rivera (guitar, vocals), David Rivera Jr. (bass, vocals), Steve Secola (lead guitar), and Aaron Cornejo (drums, percussion.) Blending many genres of music and styles, their sound has been described as grunge/acoustic/reggae with Mariachi, punk, and alternative-desert rock influences. The band has released two live studio albums, The Demons of South Tucson Vol. 1 (Waterworks 2014) and From My Heart to Your Ears (Baby Gas Mask 2018). The Demons of South Tucson just released their third studio album titled Punch a Star (Dust and Stone) on September 10th, 2026.
