Join Skylar Begay, Director of Tribal Collaboration in Outreach & Advocacy at Archaeology Southwest, for an exploration of trails, stewardship, and Indigenous perspectives on the landscapes of the Southwest. Drawing from his years of experience building and maintaining trails across Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado, Begay shares insights into how trails are created, cared for, and connected to community. He will also discuss the importance of Indigenous leadership in interpreting and managing trail systems, and how Archaeology Southwest works collaboratively with Tribes to ensure these paths continue to tell inclusive, living stories about people and place.
