KXCI Juneteenth Programming

KXCI will celebrate Juneteenth on Friday, June 19th, with a day of featured programming. Join us for a day of reflection and jubilee with messages from community members and special selections from KXCI DJs Minister Jo, CJ, Tyina, Mookie, and Traci. The music and programming on KXCI will honor this Black freedom holiday as we look at the past and continuing work of the Civil Rights Movement. Volunteer sign-ups and vendor applications are now open for the Tucson Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, June 20th at Kino Sports Complex. Support this historic community celebration through a variety of opportunities. The Drawing Studio presents All June, All Juneteenth: 3rd Annual Art Expo with Lectures, Film Festival, and Food Ways Journey Through the African Continent. Join a gallery exhibition now through June 30th, lectures June 6th and 13th, a Juneteenth Art Expo June 19th, and a film festival June 27th at The Drawing Studio, 2760 North Tucson Boulevard.
