The 250th anniversary of the founding of Presidio San Agustín del Tucson marks a pivotal moment in the city’s timeline. The “plus” recognizes the deep roots and enduring presence of Indigenous peoples and the diverse communities that have shaped Tucson before and after 1775. What We’re Creating
Together, we’re building a Tucson 250+ Playlist. A curated musical journey that explores the soul of Tucson through sound. The playlist will be shared online, played on-air through KXCI, and woven into events at El Presidio Museum and beyond. We’re inviting KXCI DJs, volunteers, and community members to suggest tracks that capture Tucson’s unique voice. The curation team is made up of KXCI staff and community collaborators. Submissions will be considered when creating the final playlist. Deadline for Submissions: Sunday, June 15th, 2025.
