In the wake of Black History Month and in celebration of Women’s History Month, KXCI DJ Dr. Tyina Steptoe and artist Chezale  shared an in-depth conversation about Chezale’s latest musical release, “Dear Ancestors” and the inspiration behind the project. They also speak about Chezale’s creative process, cultural background, and her personal experiences growing up as a Black woman (who also shares Latinx heritage) in Tucson, Arizona.
