On November 19th, KXCI’s inaugural team rode in El Tour de Tucson. KXCI volunteers, riders, and staff spent three days at the El Tour Expo and Fiesta at the Tucson Convention Center, sharing their love of cycling and community radio. KXCI’s team of riders raised more than $10,000 with the help of KXCI listeners. Stay tuned for more information about how to Ride with KXCI next year or support your favorite rider. In fact, you can still show your support for KXCI’s team right now!
Tucson has an incredible bicycle culture and KXCI is proud to be part of it. You may have heard Pedaling the Pueblo in between music programs, which we’ve been broadcasting for years in conjunction with Living Streets Alliance. There’s always at least a bike or two on our front porch because some of our employees ride their bikes to work daily.
And now, KXCI upped our game by putting together a team of people to Ride with KXCI in the 39th Annual El Tour de Tucson.
You can help KXCI by simply helping support your favorite rider and coming to say hello at the KXCI tent November 17th-19th at the El Tour Expo & Fiesta. You’ll have lots of fun doing it and you’ll make a big impact on KXCI. The more people who Ride With KXCI and support the KXCI team, the more impact we can make for KXCI.
Friends like you are KXCI’s most reliable and important source of financial support. Your generosity seeds the future of KXCI and helps ensure the future of great radio in our community.
There’s simply no substitute for the enduring rewards of cycling or independent music. And there’s no substitute for the importance of KXCI to the life of this music in Tucson.
When you Ride With KXCI, you’ll help bring more music and community to your friends and neighbors. Favorite programs like Your Morning Brew, The Music Mix, and The Home Stretch… this kind of passion and inspiration is just part of what KXCI offers you and everyone else every day.
KXCI and El Tour de Tucson both started in 1983. And now, 39 years later, your dedication will help KXCI share the unending rewards of musical experiences and cycling with everyone in our region. El Tour de Tucson and KXCI are treasured community resources benefiting us all.
And all of it—every note, every performance, every program, every mile—is made possible by generous independent music fans and cyclists like you.
