In July 2019 our community lost an incredible family member. Steve Franz aka Sleepy Boy Hawkins host of “Blues Unlimited” and “This Week in Blues History” passed away.
Steve was a lover of music and community. A dedicated volunteer to KXCI and the Blues and a man who gave his time and talent selflessly. Each week, Sleepy Boy Hawkins explored the wonderful world of the Blues and its history, heritage, and rich cultural traditions.
