Diana Alarcon was hired last November to lead Tucson Department of Transportation after the previous director resigned amid allegations of misconduct in the workplace. Diana cam to Tucson via Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a city and state with nationally higher than average pedestrian, cyclist, and motor vehicle crashes, congestion woes, and climate change concerns and brings with her a deep toolbox with creative, sustainable approaches to dealing with all those issues, and others.
