Hi everybody, my name is Trinny Tat, a senior in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Arizona. I participated in UBRP for two years. During the summer of 2016 and 2017, I worked for Dr. Rayna Gonzales at the College of Medicine-Phoenix Basic Medical Sciences. We study the mechanism of a chemotherapeutic drug, Doxorubicin, on cardiovascular toxicity by looking at proinflammatory proteins. During the academic year, I worked for Dr. Jeong-Yeol Yoon’s biosensors lab. Recently, our paper is under review. The study involved designing a paper microfluidic device to quantify the extent of anticoagulant drugs. In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing calligraphy.
