Hi everyone! My name is Alaina Michaels and I am a recent graduate from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in Organismal Biology. I am continuing my education as a Master’s student in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department working in the Dornhaus social insect lab. During my undergraduate career I participated in research looking at body size variation in the Common Eastern Bumblebee and am continuing to work with this species in order to study colony drift. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and am always exploring a new creative avenue, whatever that may be!
