Pam-Munoz-Ryan-Esperanza-Rising Today on 30 Minutes we feature a panel from the Pima County Public Library Nuestras Raices Pavillion at the 2015 Tucson Festival Books entitled The Two Pablos. Pablo Picasso and Pablo Neruda spoke Spanish, but their art joyfully breached many cultural and linguistic barriers. Celebrated authors Pam Muñoz Ryan (who penned Esperanza Rising), and Mónica Brown (creator of Marisol MacDonald) discuss the importance of sharing the lives of notable Latinos through biographical works with young readers world-wide. This panel was moderated by Elizabeth Soltero from the Pima County Public Library.
