About Psychic Heart
Psychic Heart is a dreamgaze/indie post-punk project carving out a distinct space in the Tucson, Arizona underground music scene. Spearheaded by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Chris Monzon, the band layers tight kinetic punk rhythms beneath a hazy wash of guitar textures to create a raw sound that balances dark, atmospheric moodiness with explosive noise. The music channels classic postpunk mainstays such as Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, The Fall and the modern, heavy post-hardcore energy of bands like Title Fight and Nothing.
