SavageAnx-cover200Launch In November 2012, Derechos Humanos held their 9th Annual Corazon de Justicia Awards Banquet in which they celebrated and recognized community organizers for their commitment to justice and social change.

The keynote speaker for the event was Professor Robert A.  Williams, the E. Thomas Sullivan Professor of Law and American Indian Studies and Faculty Co-Chair of the Indigenous Peoples Law and Policy Program at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. His latest book is “Savage Anxieties: The Invention of Western Civilization.” First up on 30 Minutes, we hear from Derechos Humanos Co-Chair Isabel Garcia with an introduction, followed by Professor Williams with an overview of some of the findings in his book.
