Live in Studio 2A, Vinney Mendez and LABRATZ brought some beats and told us all about the upcoming Tucson Hip Hop festival.
They talk about what they do and how they learned to do it, the Hip Hop scene in Tucson and some of the things we can expect from the festival.
Saturday Feb 25 at 191 Toole Ave.
From 12-12 there will be music and events on six stages in a giant block party from the main stage at 191 Toole all the way to expanded Universe. There will be panel discussions about how to book shows and tours, promotion with Dan Hernandez of Stateside and Ripdee of GLDN Artist group. Panel discussions will also include The University Of Arizona Africana Studies Hip Hop Professors, Daniel G., Shining Soul, and Charles Norton will discuss native american influences on Hip Hop, and Mike from Mello Music as well as Justin Hunte discussing labels and media.
