Here are photos of some of the plants I was jabbering about: Desert willow (Chilopsis linearis), esperanza or Arizona yellow bells (Tecoma stans var. angustata), little leaf sumac (Rhus microphylla), acorns on a silverleaf oak (Quercus hypoleucoides), and coral bean (Erythrina flabelliformis).  So many native plants are ready for some of that monsoonal moisture and I am too.
