PtP host Lydia Barker-Winkworth was one participant in the City of Tucson’s effort to create a new Climate Action & Adaptation Plan through extensive community outreach and input this year. In this episode, she shares some of the preliminary data gathered from community workshops, dialogues, surveys and outreach initiatives. It’s clear that Tucson residents see improving bike infrastructure and mobility options as a crucial step in mitigating and adapting to climate change.

The Climate Action Plan—known as Tucson Resilient Together—will provide a strategic pathway to reduce the City’s emissions to net zero by 2030. The comprehensive plan will be available for public input in early 2023, and is expected to be voted on by Mayor & Council in February. Learn more and weigh in on the climate action website.
