My name is Chloë Paterson and I am a senior majoring in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science at the University of Arizona. I work in the Neuroscience of Reinforcement Learning and Decision-Making Lab with Dr. Robert Wilson and PhD Candidate Jack-Morgan Mizell, where I study how aging affects decision-making strategies. Specifically, I am looking at decision-making biases in older adults and how the COVID-19 pandemic potentially impacts both these biases and cognitive well-being. During the previous two years, I also studied the decision-making behavior of bumble bees in the lab of Dr. Anna Dornhaus. In the future, I plan to pursue graduate-level research related to computational neuroscience. I grew up in Kingman, Arizona and like writing, cooking, and exploring the outdoors in my free time.
