Hello! I’m Casey Calderon am a current junior at the University of Arizona majoring in physiology, with minors in theatre arts and public health. For the past year and a half, I have been working in Dr. Nathan Cherrington’s lab studying the effects that a liver disease, Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH), has on the transport and metabolism of drugs in comparison with healthy livers. Following graduation, I hope to attend medical school with the ultimate goal of a career in preventative medicine. When I’m not in the lab, in class, or studying, you can find me cooking yummy food, reading, listening to political/medical podcasts, or doing something theatre-related.
