In this episode of Bonus Tracks from KXCI Tucson, Adrian takes us through the rise of Atlanta-based rapper Future. Born Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, Future’s journey began with inspiration from his cousin Rico Wade, a member of the legendary Dingeon Family who produced OutKast’s debut album. From his start as “meathead” in the group The Dungeon to his breakthrough solo career, Futurte has built a  legacy of innovation in hip-hop, earning multiple Grammy Awards and creating iconic hits like “Mask Off”, “Life is Good” and “Wait For You”

0:06: I’m Adrian and I want to talk about the come up and the life of the Atlanta-based rapper Future.
0:13: The rapper Future’s real name is Novadius Wilburn.
0:17: He was born on November 20, 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia.

0:46: Future started his rapping career in the Atlanta-based group The Dungeon under the name Meathead.
0:53: He got his name Future by being nicknamed The Future by a group a member of the dungeon, but later shortened the name to just Future when he started his solo career.
1:03: His debut album Pluto was released in 2012 and reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 200.
