0:15: Ethel’s lyrics pull you in with her storytelling.
0:23: This track goes through the story of Ethel losing her first and only friend Jamie to a boyfriend.
0:28: This song displays Ethel’s jealousy and desperation of Jamie’s boyfriend with lines like.

0:40: This album also utilizes lots of instrumental tracks such as Willoughby’s Theme, Willoughby’s Interlude, and Radio Towers.

0:53: Something I love about Ethel Kane is how her instrumental tracks can say so much with no lyrics.
1:01: Nettles is my personal favorite track on the album.
1:04: This track summed up as enduring pain and suffering to end up finding peace with someone in the end.
1:10: Ethel and Willoughby both have a lot of trauma and cling to each other for comfort.
1:14: The song opens with Ethel fantasizing about all the ways she could lose Willoughby as he is the only comfort she’s had.
1:21: This song also has a theme of Ethel’s desperation to be loved, but feeling like she is difficult to be loved.
1:28: This track really dives into Ethel’s hopefulness about their relationship and future while still holding doubts which as the theme progresses, we learned that this will ultimately lead to their demise.

1:51: “Dust Bowl” this track follows Ethel and Willoughby’s relationship.

3:29: I can wait if I want, but it will never be good enough like I want to believe it is.
3:34: This album closes with Ethel coming to the understanding on how the over-romanticization of the whole idea of Willoughby and not who he truly is.
3:42: This album is a prequel album to Ethel’s debut album Preacher’s Daughter.
3:47: Willoughby’s character does not show up again in the next album, but he continues to haunt Ethel’s narrative.
