Yong Sheng Herbs, Arizona’s only Traditional Chinese Medicine pharmacy, just celebrated their 30th year in business with a move back to the place where they got their start. Returning to the newly renovated Sol Block, Yong Sheng will be hosting a Grand Re-Opening and 30th Anniversary party on Saturday, May 23rd at their new location, 2637 E Broadway Blvd.
The event will run all day from 10am to 5pm and will feature samples of brewed herbal teas, special discounts, a raffle to win products and services, samples of over the counter herbal formulas, and more, including gift bags for the first 20 customers.
Yong Sheng has been serving Tucson’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Community since 1996. Last year the pharmacy changed hands when Ling and Guan Jiang, the store’s founders, retired and sold the business to Kelly LeGendre. Kelly is an acupuncturist and TCM herbalist who had been treating patients in Tucson for 20 years before assuming ownership of the pharmacy.
The store fills herbal prescriptions for practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine nationwide, as well as offering over the counter herbal formulas for common ailments such as pain, colds, flus, allergies, digestive complaints, hormonal balance, minor skin conditions, mood issues, and more. They also offer consultations for custom herbal prescriptions, as well as acupuncture, cupping, and massage by appointment.
