Hotel Congress and KXCI are proud to re-introduce the Tucson Rock Lottery as the heart of Club Congress Weekend! Nearly a decade ago, the Tucson Rock Lottery delighted and inspired with its zany ingenuity and community spirit, and Hotel Congress and KXCI are bringing it back.
At 9am on Saturday, twenty five of Tucson’s most talented musicians will gather together to form brand-new bands at random by drawing names out of a hat. They will write and learn three original songs, learn one cover, and perform all in under 12 hours. The epic culmination of their collaboration will happen at Hotel Congress in a celebration of all the ingenuity the Tucson music scene has to offer.
All proceeds from this event supports KXCI Community Radio, a 501c3 non profit committed to connecting the communities of Tucson and Southern Arizona to each other – and the world – with informative, engaging, and creative community-based programming.
