It’s that time of year again when the Tucson Kitchen Musicians Association gathers in the great outdoors to celebrate the holidays the only way we know how—with music, potluck food, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting.
We’re inviting musicians to sign up and perform one holiday song, and we mean it when we say: 👉 If you sign up, you WILL get to play.
No waiting lists, no musical Hunger Games, no “we ran out of time”—you play, period.
And while any holiday song is welcome, we’re strongly encouraging the weird, the wacky, and the “I can’t believe someone actually wrote that” classics, such as:
Christmas at Ground Zero The Man With the Toys Chipmunks Roasting on an Open Fire Donde Está Santa Claus? I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth Rudolph Meets the Abominable Snowman Walking Around in Women’s Underwear Ugly Sweater Blues Santa Claus Is Watching You
It’s a potluck picnic, so bring a side dish or dessert—preferably something that won’t melt, explode, or require a fork made of titanium.
Parents, bring the kids! We’ll have games, badminton, and a holiday trivia contest where the lucky winners will walk away with the highest honor of the season: pomegranates. Yes, actual pomegranates. Yes, we’re serious.
This event has a long history of sunshine, laughs, and the kind of musical surprises you tell stories about for years. Grab your guitar, your kazoo, or your questionable sense of humor and come join us.
