The Tucson Flute Club will present Spooktacular Seasonal Flute Music on Sunday, October 26, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church (in the Sanctuary). The concert will feature the Southern Arizona Flute Orchestra performing seasonal music under the baton of Jack Schmidgall, Music Director. The varied program will include traditional selections such as “Black Is the Color of My True Love’s Hair,” “Scottish Flute Stomp,” “America the Beautiful,” “American Hoedown,” and “Una Fiesta de Canciones Folkloricas,” as well as the Hallowe’en favorite “A Night on Bald Mountain” by Mussorgsky. A special feature will be “Tango Molto Basso,” showcasing our low flutes (alto, bass, contrabass, and sub-contrabass flutes). The public is warmly invited.
