The Homing Project (THP) is having a ribbon-cutting event on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, 10:00AM to Noon at the site of its first village of transitional micro-homes for the unhoused. The village is located at 2934 N Estrella Ave. in Tucson. Mayor Romero will be one of the City and Pima County dignitaries to participate in the celebration. The village, named Esperanza, was created to address the need for safe, secure transitional housing for the unsheltered where residents are supported by wrap around social services in collaboration with local social service agencies. THP is an all-volunteer non-profit organization funded by private donors and grants.
