SUPPORT

The University of Arizona International Security Studies program and the Tucson Committee on Foreign Relations will host a webinar with General David H. Petraeus, U.S. Army, (Ret.), currently a partner at KKR and chairman of the KKR Global Institute.

Petraeus served over 37 years in the U.S. military, culminating his career with six consecutive commands as a general officer, five in combat, including command of the surge in Iraq, command of U.S. Central Command, and command of coalition forces in Afghanistan. Later, he served as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. General Petraeus holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Princeton University.

In his book “Conflict: The Evolution of Warfare from 1945 to Ukraine,” co-authored with the British historian Andrew Roberts, General Petraeus examines the recent history of warfare and the importance of strategic leadership.

The event will be moderated by Michael L. Burgoyne, a retired U.S. Army Colonel and Assistant Professor of Practice in the International Security Studies program, which is housed in the School of Government and Public Policy. Burgoyne is also a board member of the Tucson Committee on Foreign Relations.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration required.
