The Sameer Project has been key in providing tents, food, and medical assistance in Gaza for the most vulnerable families in the strip, many of whom are medical patients and/or have no social media to reach the outside world to ask for help. Families are sleeping on the streets with no shelter. As aid continues to be restricted from entering Gaza, and as the little aid that enters is often being looted and sold in the markets for extremely high prices, families, and the aid groups who help them, are having to contend with continuously rising inflation costs just to survive. As things become unavailable, tactics on how to create alternatives from scratch becomes a form of resistance.
There will be a video presentation introducing guests to the Sameer Project and what they have been doing on the ground, followed by a Q&A with co-founder Lena Dajani. We will have a silent auction, raffles – including a hoverboard with led lights and built-in Bluetooth speakers, and more. Please come out to help us raise money to support the Sameer Project!
