The Public History Collaborative presents Sounds from History: Música from Tucson and Beyond on Sunday, April 19th, from 2 to 6 pm at JoJo’s Tucson at Old Town Artisans, 76 W. Washington St. This free event features performances by Mariachi Las Aguilitas de Davis Bilingual Elementary School, Las Azaleas, El Surco, and Tucson Son Jarocho Collective, along with talks from Estevan Azcona, Jennie Gubner, and Tyina Steptoe, exploring the history of Spanish-language music in Tucson and beyond.
