Gabrielle Pietrangelo Launches “Song Church,” a Community Sing-Along Concert at La Rosa, inviting audiences to come together and sing beloved songs in community. Part concert and part communal sing-along, Song Church features a live band led by Gabrielle and lyrics projected for the audience. The event will include songs such as “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” and “Free Fallin.”
“People are hungry for ways to connect right now,” Pietrangelo says. “Song Church is about gathering together and singing songs that lift our spirits and remind us we’re not alone. We have eachother”
While the name references the feeling of shared ritual through music, Song Church has no religious affiliation and welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds. No musical experience is required—just a willingness to sing along.
The idea was inspired by Pietrangelo’s friendship with Nick Forster of eTown in Boulder, whose “Hippie Bluegrass Church” events bring communities together through music. With Song Church, Pietrangelo hopes to create a new tradition in Tucson—one where audiences become part of the music itself.
