Reception: Illuminations of Sacred Paper – Trudi Connolly

SUPPORT
Drawing on her background in comparative literature and years of study in the humanities, Connolly transforms fragments of printed materials into richly detailed works inspired by illuminated manuscripts. Through thousands of carefully arranged paper pieces, she explores themes of history, literature, domestic life, grief and desire, inviting viewers to consider how meaning, memory and knowledge are built from the fragments of everyday life.

Join the artist, curator, and local art community Wednesday, September 30, from 3-5 p.m. to celebrate “Illuminations of Sacred Paper.” Light refreshments will be served.
