Join us for the kickoff of POETS IN THE PARK organized and hosted by Tucson Poet Laureate Logan Phillips. The theme is POETS ARE CULTURAL WORKERS! There will be 25 poets on the mic, celebrated as the artists they are, and recognizing their work to create more space for poetry & expression in Tucson – open mics, spaces, workshop series, and more!
3:30pm – Arrive for music, a food truck, raffle tickets, book swap and activity tables!
4:00pm – Show begins
6:00pm – Show ends – Food, music, and activity tables continue.
FREE and ALL-AGES, wheelchair accessible seating, stage and restrooms. Bring sun protection and water, and consider bringing cash for the food truck and an epic raffle by donation.
