Join artists Lindee Zimmer & Elana Bloom for an introduction to using natural pigments from minerals and plants as art supplies. In this three-hour intro course Lindee Zimmer will demonstrate how to make paints from mineral pigments and Elana Bloom will offer insight on how to make natural dyes for coloring fabric or making ink with kitchen scraps and plants in your environment. Participants will walk away with a bounty of information and recipes as well as their own paints and inks to take home for experimentation.

Anyone interested in exploring natural pigments for use in art making for the first time will gain wonderful insights from this class. Participants will have the opportunity to play and experiment with the materials made during class.
