There’s a thought often attributed to Blaise Pascal: “It is not those who write the laws who have the greatest influence on society, it is those who write the songs.” (1670). And with that thought, join us at Monterey Court for a very special Song Circle Brunch Concert featuring six songwriters selected from our twice-monthly Song Circle.
🎸 10:00–11:30 AM
Jeff Bloomberg • Dawn Krachey • Mark Berenson
🎸 11:30 AM–1:00 PM
Jeremy Gilliam • Kathleen Williamson • Ron Pandy
The performers will share the stage “in the round,” taking turns performing their original songs and telling some of the stories behind them. And what a variety of songs you’ll hear! Some will be upbeat, some whimsical, some thoughtful and serious, and probably a few that are just plain fun. It’s the whole parade—the wonderful potpourri that happens when six different songwriters bring their own voices, experiences and points of view to the stage. There are songs that can take even the simplest moments of everyday life and reveal the basic truths of life. Songwriters have always had a way of putting into a few words and a melody what the rest of us may have been feeling all along.
What a great way to start a beautiful Sunday morning in Tucson! And don’t forget the BRUNCH! Take full advantage of Monterey Court’s incredible Sunday brunch menu. Try the Monty Cristo French Toast with real maple syrup, perhaps a brunch burrito will entice you, or how about the Southwestern omelet? There’s a full brunch menu, and it’s all worth a try.
